Alex leads the Finance, Tax, Legal and Procurement functions and oversees strategic transformation and enterprise risk management. He focuses on strengthening GÉANT’s financial resilience, organisational clarity and operational discipline to support the organisation’s long-term sustainability as a critical digital infrastructure serving Europe’s research and education community.
Alex brings more than 20 years of international experience in finance leadership across the technology and telecommunications sectors. He began his career at Deloitte and spent two years seconded to the World Economic Forum. He later held senior finance leadership roles within the global technology investment group Prosus, part of the Naspers group, supporting high-growth digital platforms and fintech businesses across international markets.
